Chicago reacts

It is interesting to see the reactions coming out in Chicago after this initial victory - most of them seem positive. The Tribune is clearly in favor with Blair Kamin again leading the charge. Here is an interesting Tribune article (login may be required):

This Olympic nonsense will BANKRUPT our city. Athens lost 10-12 BILLION dollars THEY had to pay.

Thanks for your insight Alan but I don't agree at all! Chicago is hungry to fully remake its image into a global economic superpower and the Olympics are a huge part of making this happen.

I look forward to sparring with you over the coming years!
